Isaiah 1:18 says:"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be whiter than snow: though they are red like crimson they shall be as wool. God tells us we have sins and they need to be cleansed. We can't do that for our self so He has provided One who can wash them as white as snow. His name is Jesus. He is the Only begotten Son of God. In John 14:6, Jesus makes it clear: He says:" I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". He came down from heaven and was born as a man. He lived His life without sin against God. When He died on the cross, He paid the penalty for our sins. He was buried and three days later God raised Him from the dead. Because He has destroyed the power of death over us, He becomes our Savior, when we believe in Him and what He has done for us. We were the ones who should have died, because we have sinned. The penalty for sin is death and separation from God in hell. But God, in His great love for us, doesn't want us to be seperated from Him. He wants us to live forever with Him.
It is our faith in Jesus Christ, that redeems our life and makes us right with God. When we admit our need for salvation, confess our sins to Jesus and ask Him to forgive us, He does it. At that point God removes our sins as far as the east is from the west and remembers them no more. He puts our name in the Book of Life. When we die we will live forever with God in a mansion Jesus has prepared for us (John 14: 1-4). God also seals us with His Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance(Ephesians 1:13) until we physically die or Jesus returns to take us with Him in the rapture. Either way, we are assured of our salvation, forgivenesss of sins and eternal life in Jesus Christ.
If you want to be saved from your sins here is what the Bible (Gods Word) says:
Romans 3:10-12: As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God, They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.
Romans 3:23: For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Romans 5:8: But God demonstrated his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 10:9-10: That if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13: For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Having read the truth :
- Admit you are a sinner.
- Understand that as a sinner, you deserve death.
- Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from sin and death.
- Repent by turning from your old life of sin to a new life in Christ.
- Receive, through faith in Jesus Christ, his free gift of salvation.
